What we publish
Calculators are the product. Editorial content exists to serve calculator users — explaining how the math works, what the numbers mean in your state, and which incentives stack with which.
How we work
- Methodology before content. Every calculator has a public methodology page with the formula, sources, and worked examples.
- Source-linked data. Electricity rates from EIA, gas prices from EIA, vehicle specs from fueleconomy.gov, federal incentive logic from IRS, state programs from state energy offices and DSIRE.
- Editorial review. Every calculator landing page, state guide, and model comparison is reviewed by Mr. Bandi before publication.
- Update cadence. Vehicle and incentive data is reviewed quarterly; electricity and gas rate seeds are refreshed monthly when EIA releases new data.
